It would have to be a modern gold bullion coin. The one ounce $50 .999 gold eagle is one ounce and they were minted from 1986 to date. The uncirculated version sells for a little more than the spot price of gold. The proof version has a collectors market and is worth more depending on date. In 2006 they came out with the $50 gold Buffalo coin that is .9999 due to it’s popularity it is worth a little more. Gold spot was $939.40. So depending on what coin you have it would be worth around that much plus or minus.
Apparently the replica 1877 Half Union Proof from the National Collector’s Mint is only gold plated, so it is probably worth much less than $50. The design is very similar to the old Liberty Head gold coins minted from 1839 until 1908.
It is unclear to me what you mean by “Silver eagle .999 coin.” All US coins have an eagle on them, but you must be referring to the silver American Eagle bullion coin minted annually since 1986 which would be worth $14 and up depending upon the finish (proof or uncirculated), condition and year.
I am truly in a purple haze.
