US GOLD COIN from year 950?

Ok so my moms friend found a american gold coin from year 950 and she took it to the dealer and he gave her $350 but I heard that she got ripped off and it worth prolly over 20k is this true can anyone link me to some evidence

American coins weren’t in production until the late 1700s, so I would find out more on what it really was and then you can look into it further.

most dealers are looking to make money themselves, auctions for things like that are usually better for the seller if it is something that is very sought after.

There is no such thing as an “American gold coin from the year 950″.

If you can come up with an accurate description of what kind of coin it actually was, we might be able to give you an idea of what it would be worth.

she didnt get ripped off because america wasnt around in 950, so it was a fake

The years that the US minted gold coins are: 1795-1933 and 1986-present.
